For Your Thoughts

In God’s administration of justice, everyone is equal.
Just for your thoughts.

In Jewish history, Jacob is a very significant figure.
He is the one whose name was changed to Israel, and it is through Jacob’s lineage that Jesus Christ was later born.

Though Jacob received such great blessings, God did not leave his injustice unpunished.
By the very method through which he deceived Esau, Jacob himself was deceived through Laban. He obtained his father’s blessing by using the tool of impersonation. In the same way, through impersonation, Leah was given to Jacob instead of Rachel.
Mother and son together deceived the father and the elder brother. But Jacob, in turn, was deceived through the drama enacted jointly by Laban, Leah, and Rachel.

We cannot completely deny that Rachel and Leah had no part in Jacob’s marriage to Leah. They might have been mute and silent spectators of the drama enacted by Laban.
God is a God who sets justice right.
No matter how great a person is, or how mightily God uses them, God will give punishment in this very world for the injustice they commit. In God’s administration of justice, everyone is equal.
