Isaac was not someone who made long journeys to fulfill God's plan, the way Abraham did. He spent his entire life in the one place called Canaan. Isaac also didn't wait 14 years for a wife, the way his son Jacob did.
"Isaac was a lightweight among the patriarchs." He lived longer than both his father and his son, yet everything recorded about him fits within six chapters.
In God's plan of redemption, Abraham is needed, Isaac is needed, and Jacob is needed too. When we are born again, we are born equal — but we are born different.
"We are reborn equal. But we are reborn different."
In God's church, though we are all equal, we don't all serve as the same member/part of the body. We have been called into God's church to serve as members appointed in advance for that purpose. So there's no need to exalt ourselves by comparing with others, and no need to belittle ourselves either. Let us simply be who we are, and do God's will.
