Here Paul was prevented by the Holy Spirit from entering into Asia for preaching the Gospel. Why ? According to F.F. Bruce “the province of Asia was not to be the field of evangelistic activity for present , then it was natural for them to cast their eyes farther north, and think of the highly civilised province of Bithynia in North –west Asia Minor with its Greek cities and Jewish colonies”.
It is interesting to speculate how history might have been changed had Paul been sent to Asia instead of Europe. As an Indian I feel it is a great loss for my mother land, though lord had sent Thomas to India.,God is sovereign
