The Book of 1 Samuel  Bible Study 6

Samuel the prophet judged the people of Israel for about 60 years. For about 500 years, the judges exercised spiritual authority over the people of Israel.

Prophet Samuel was the last of the judges. After him, the rule of the king started.
The people of Israel asked for a system of government to govern them like the people of the world.
From the day he forgot his mother's milk, Samuel devoted himself to the work of the Tabernacle and served the people of Israel faithfully.

The questions posed to its people at the time of the changeover of the system are profound.

"Here I stand. Testify against me in the presence of the Lord and his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe to make me shut my eyes? If I have done any of these things, I will make it right."

1 Samuel 12:3

This witness is important in the lives of every individual believer and in the lives of leaders.
When we think about the paths we have travelled in the end times to complete the spiritual journey we have lived, we should have a witness as contented as the prophet Samuel. How we lived, how honest we were, how holy we were, how honestly we served God, how free we worked in the office, how much we sacrificed, how much we did not harm anyone.
Our conscience will tell us the right answer. We may not have achieved great things in our lives, but what matters is how our lives have been before God.
May God grace us to complete our spiritual course with such contentment. It doesn't matter how much the Lord has done through us. What matters is what kind of witness we live for the Lord.

Who among you can accuse me and prove that I have sinned? (John 8:46)
This is the challenge of Jesus Christ.
A great lesson for us is that Samuel challenged his testimony a thousand years ago, just as Jesus Christ challenged.
No matter how many hardships we face in our lifetime, we should never try to compromise our integrity, holiness, and integrity.
A balance sheet is prepared at the end of every financial year in commercial companies.
They will calculate how many assets and liabilities their company has. Likewise, if we look at the account of spiritual life like this, we will know   to how many people I have been an asset and to how many people I have been a liability. May God himself give us grace to run our spiritual race like Samuel . Ezekiel Shanmugavel
