1 Samuel Book. Bible study 8
What caused God to reject Saul?
Saul's disobedience?
Or God's election of the tribe of Judah as kingly tribe.
When Jacob mentions Judah among his 12 children
"The scepter shall not depart from Judah," he prophesied.
So Judah should be the kingly tribe.
But God chose Saul first because of the pressure of the people of Israel.
He was not of the tribe of Judah.
But it was God's eternal plan that the world's Savior should be born from the tribe of Judah.
At the same time
Saul acted as a priest and offered burnt offerings to God before Samuel the prophet came.
13:12
Therefore Saul's kingdom did not last.
The Lord looked for a man after His own heart, and the Lord appointed him to be a leader over His people.
The reason is that Saul did not obey the Lord's commandment.
1 Samuel 13:14.
First, God made Saul king, then removed him because of his transgression, and then made David king.
Liberty, His foreknowledge of man, His predestination, and finally His sovereignty. This is God's way of working.
In the same way, God created the world and then Adam and Eve, and then followed their disobedience and the resulting salvation of all mankind through His Son.
God's sovereignty prevails in all these events.
It is my opinion that all these things should be connected in one line when Jesus Christ chose Judas as a disciple, betrayed him, and as a result, Jesus Christ was crucified and the salvation of the world as a result.
In God's plan, His foreknowledge, His sovereignty, and the freedom He has given to man are all at work in this world.
Free will
God's foreknowledge
God's election.
God's sovereignty.
These are the fundamental principles of God's working in the world.
