This message is intended for believers.*
May the Holy Spirit continue to open our understanding of the Scriptures and enlighten the eyes of our hearts.
What truly matters is not how many study Bibles we have read, how many biblical commentaries we have studied, how many research articles we have gone through, or how familiar we are with the views of great Bible teachers.
What matters in the sight of the Lord is this: To what extent have we shared the truths we have learned, the biblical insights we have gained, and the wisdom God has taught us with others?
Have we helped others grow spiritually? Have we opened their eyes to understand God's Word more clearly?
Have we introduced fellow believers to the best books and study resources that have helped us? Have we encouraged them to read those books? Have we purchased them for believers who could not afford them?
These, too, are precious ministries in the sight of God.
The more we use our spiritual experiences and biblical knowledge for the spiritual growth of others, the more God's grace continues to increase in our lives.
Just as sharing our material wealth with the poor is a noble act, sharing the wisdom, biblical understanding, and spiritual truths that God has given us with believers who are spiritually weak or immature is also a ministry that is pleasing to God.
Sharing spiritual treasures is a great ministry.
Whether our contribution is small or great, when we faithfully use the opportunities and abilities God has entrusted to us, His name is glorified through that ministry.
This responsibility does not belong only to full-time ministers, nor is it a competition with them.
If we are convinced that the truths we teach are faithful to the Scriptures, we should not be afraid of opposition.
Just as it would be wrong to hide the salvation we have received instead of sharing it with others, it is also wrong to keep to ourselves the truths and biblical understanding that God has graciously taught us, without sharing them with our Christian friends and fellow believers.
God is with us.
