Bible Lesson – 6
Chapter 20.
The Secret of Jehoshaphat’s Victory.
In order to gain victory in our spiritual battles as well as in the battles of daily life, the prayer of Jehoshaphat teaches us the things we must practice.

Lessons from Jehoshaphat’s Prayer
1.We must seek God – (v. 3)
2.
We must humble ourselves before God – (v. 18)

3.We must believe in God’s sovereign rule – (v. 6)
4.We must confess and acknowledge our helplessness – (v. 12)
5.Even though we are involved in the battle, we must surrender the battlefield to Him – (v. 15)

6.We must allow the Lord Himself to fight our battles, not rely on our own strength – (v. 17)
7.We must stand firm in spiritual warfare and not turn back or retreat – (v. 17)
8.We must not be afraid or become discouraged – (v. 15)
9.We must trust in the Lord – (v. 20)
10.We must praise and worship with faith – (v. 21)

Just as God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, if we follow these ten principles in our spiritual battles, our enemies will never prevail over us.
These are the lessons taught to us through Jehoshaphat’s prayer and petition.
These lessons serve as a foundation
for every age,
for every situation,
and for overcoming even the fiercest enemies.
When we follow these foundational principles in our lives, no matter what kind of Moabites, Ammonites, or Meunites rise against us, God will grant us victory.
And we too will receive a Valley of Beracah to celebrate our victory.
