Is it the approval of God’s Word or the approval of the world? A
Just for your thoughts.
Is it the approval of God’s Word or the approval of the world?
Approval of the Word of God or approval of the world?
In our personal life and in the path of ministry, if we desire God’s approval, we must meditate on His Word. Only when I meditate on the Scriptures can I discern whether the things I do are pleasing to God or not, because it is the Word that gives that approval.
A believer who does not meditate on the Word can never understand the will of God. Without understanding the Scriptures, one cannot fulfill God’s will.
Our actions may be approved by the people around us, by the world, or even by churches. But we must examine whether they are approved by God and by the Word of God.
Just because the world approves us, we cannot confidently say that we are approved by God and His Word.
No matter how much I pray with spiritual fervor, if I do not meditate on the Scriptures, I cannot know God’s will.
For our foundational spiritual life, the Bible in our hand is our Book of Law. It is on the basis of this Word that God will judge us. Only the meditation of the Scriptures produces the approval of the Scriptures in us.
Any effort without Scripture meditation may gain human approval or worldly approval, but it will not gain the approval of God.
We must never forget that our ministries, our obedience, and our relationship with the Lord will be determined in eternity based on the Word that has been given to us today.
Therefore, without the Word, we can never know the will of God. Scripture meditation must be our delight, our daily spiritual food, and the lamp that guides our life. The Word of God must be the weapon in our hand to resist Satan.
The foundation of our entire spiritual life is the Word of God. Blessed are those who understand this.
The approval we receive through the Word of God alone will bring eternal reward. The approval given by people, church leaders, or the world is temporary. If such approval is not according to Scripture, we will stand empty-handed in heaven.
