Know your enemy
Just for your thought:
Know your enemy. Just as our strength is important to win the battle, knowing our enemy is equally essential. In this post, let us learn some important characteristics about our enemy.
He is a created being. He is not omnipresent, not all-knowing, and not all-powerful. God has taken away the authority to accuse us at the cross. His primary weapons are deceit, lies, and trickery. He does everything in his power to make mankind worship him. He is a murderer and the very embodiment of pride.
Without God’s permission, he cannot touch a believer. When we resist him, he will flee from us. He cannot stand before the blood of Jesus Christ.
He is the ruler of darkness; we are citizens of the Kingdom of Light. His world is different from the one in which God has placed us.
He was created as an angel; we are created in the image of God. Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. He knows the Scriptures well. He even has a counterfeit trinity. He has his own doctrines. He has dominions, thrones, kingdoms, messengers, ministers, and armies.
He sows weeds in the church, twists the Scriptures, and accuses us before the Father. Ultimately, he is counting down his final days.
Unless God allows, he has no authority over us. Satan never voluntarily retreats from the battlefield. Even if he is defeated in battle—or appears to be—he remains present on the field.
Many times, Christians win the battle but later lose the war. Let us learn to stay alert!
