Most people think that everyone should think of repentance of bad deeds.
But hardest thing is to repent from good deeds. Our righteousness is considered as human dung. Prophet Isaiah considered the righteousness of Israel menstrual cloth -not something that they want to parade in public.
According to Paul, our righteousness is can be the biggest barrier between us and a relationship with God. When we preach this, it is the 'good people' who struggle with it most.
Those who know they are bad will be the first to respond.It is rare to hear a preacher urge the congregation to repent of their good deeds, but good deeds are more likely to keep people out of heaven than anything else.
