For Your Thoughts

God has predestined families.

God has predestined families.

In the book of Joshua
Rahab, a Canaanite woman, joined the people of Israel.

A Moabite woman named Ruth was included among the people of Israel during the period of the Judges.

Both events are part of God's plan. These events indicate to the world that God loves all the people of the world and does not cast away anyone who comes close to Him.

Rahab's son was Boaz, and Obed was the son of Ruth.
He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Subsequently, joining with the Gentile women in the descendants of Jews led to the birth of the Savior of the world. The name of Mahlon, the husband of Ruth, disappeared in Bethlehem, the names of Boaz, Obed, and Jesse were included in the Jewish history.

The lessons we can learn.

1.God doesn't just call us, He doesn't just predestinate us.

It is necessary for parents to realize that God has a specific plan in this world through our children.

2. It is also a very good ministry to make our children who will be part of God's plan in our next generation
3. Looking at the history of David, he has achieved many victories in his time. He has written many Psalms.
He established a great kingdom for the nation of Israel.

Throughout his life, he made every effort to build the temple of God and saved the wealth for building the temple.
There is no doubt that all these things are excellent.
He did all this for God. But God commanded him a blessing that He had given to no one else.

Everyone knew that the Messiah would come from the Jewish tribe. However, even though there were many families in that Jewish tribe, God chose the family of David and was born in that genealogy as the savior of the world.
This was the greatest blessing God gave to David.

What we can understand is that when we fulfill God's perfect will in this world, surely His eternal plans for our family will be fulfilled. We are not called to run the spiritual race as individuals. We are invited to run this relay race as a family. Not only I should be a predestined person but my family should also be a predestined family.
May God give this attitude to the families of faith.
Ezekiel Shanmugavel
The greatest thing God did for David was not to give him
victory over his enemies or wealth for building
the temple of God. The greatest privilege God gave him was

that of being the ancestor of the Messiah. David
wanted to build a house for God, but God told him that He
would build a house (family) for David (2 Sam. 7).
David knew that the Messiah would come from the
kingly tribe of Judah (Gen. 49:8–10), but nobody
knew which family in Judah would be chosen. God
chose David's family, and the Redeemer would be
known as “the son of David” (Matt. 1:1).
