For Your Thoughts

Our hearts are more dangerous
The idols in our hearts are more dangerous to us than the idols in the temples.

Corrupters of spiritual life.

Idols are anything that occupies the place of God and takes away the honor, glory, and worship due to God.

Idols in the heart are far more dangerous than idols in the temple.

I also believe that it is idolatry to do ministry to God instead of devoting proper time to meditating on His Word.

Ministry to God is essential. But they should not rob us of our relationship with God and the time to meditate on His Word.

The times I spend in fellowship with Him are more important than the time we spend in His ministry.

Our spiritual quality is revealed in the times I spend with him.

Through it, His word will be revealed in our preaching. We must set aside time according to our calling. The more those who preach, especially those who wait in God's feet and meditate on His Word, the more God's power will be revealed in His sermon. Otherwise, you can see that you are grinding the ground flour.

Ministry is not a magic box.

Many times, even our works for God will not save us, but at the same time, if our relationship with God is right, then that relationship will save us.

This is the mistake that the people of Israel made that day. They took the Ark of the Covenant to the battlefield to save them from enemies instead of following the Lord's ways. As a result, it was captured and caught in the hands of the Gentiles like never before in history.

Ministry is the work we do for God.

Our relationship with God is His ministry in us.

When the time spent in a relationship with God is taken up by the services we do for God, it becomes idolatry. Paul's words are the biggest motivational words for us.

"But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."

Acts 6:4.

This applies not only to full-time workers but also to born-again Christians interested in His ministry. So let us beware of this idolatry.
