For Your Thoughts

Receiving false praises
Just for your thoughts.

Receiving false praises, help given with hidden expectations, support, and rewards—
*when our hearts swell with pride because of these, it is not a sign of spiritual growth.
However, when we find joy in the genuine spiritual care, concern, godly counsel, and prayer support that others extend toward us in Christ, without expecting anything in return, the Lord is pleased with such a heart.
Compared to a mindset that readily accepts worldly help and material rewards,
the humility to receive spiritual help and God-inspired counsel,
and the attitude of honoring simple-hearted people who give such help with sincerity—
have become rare qualities in today’s Christian life.
The worldview and love of material gain have dulled spiritual thinking and have reduced faith to a form of business.
It is this very danger that the Apostle Paul warns about in 1 Timothy 6:3–10—
that considering godliness as a means of gain leads people away from true faith and plunges them into many kinds of sorrow.
