Greatness of Barnabas
Greatness of Barnabas and his submission to the will of God.
Without his name even being mentioned this verse pays the greatest of all tribute to Barnabas.
Writer of Acts Dr Luke did not even mention the name of Barnabas in the list of friends ,the reason unknown to us.
when the expedition sets out from Syria, the order is “Barnabas and Saul”:by the time they leave Cyprus it is “ Paul and his company”
Paul has assumed the leadership of the expedition.
But the Barnabas did not not seem to have resented this. He was the man prepared to take second place so long as God’s work is done.
Really I salute Barnabas for this great magnanimity and humility.
Playing second fiddle is not very easy . That too in the life Barnabas who had every right to claim everything.
