We are called to be living epistles
Just for your thoughts
We are called to be living epistles. Only when we are so, will the works of the Holy Spirit be revealed in the divine message we proclaim. In this, the power of God will be clearly manifested. But if we do not read the epistles, how can we become living epistles ourselves?
When the epistles are not spoken of or taught in the church, how can their impact be seen in our lives? To become living epistles, the epistles of the New Testament must be preached and meditated upon more in our churches.
When even the foundational doctrines of the New Testament remain unclear to believers—or are deliberately not taught—how can they ever become living epistles?
When dance, music, and drama overflow in the name of 'worship' within the church, how can believers be transformed into living epistles?
This is the primary reason behind the decline hidden beneath today's apparent church growth and the rising opposition to the gospel.
We must first transform today’s youth into living epistles. Those who understand this are truly blessed.
Preachers who refuse to preach the truths of the New Testament, and believers who lack the desire to listen with eagerness, are not assets to today’s churches.
They are liabilities to the body of Christ.
"You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody.
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."
2 Cori 3:2,3
