Divine Timetable
When God's servants are in His will and doing His work, they are immortal until their work is done. The disciples tried to discourage Jesus from going back to Judah, but He assured them He was on a "divine timetable" and was therefore perfectly safe (John 11:7-10).
It was only when His "hour had come" (John 13:1;17:1) that His enemies had the power to arrest Him and crucify Him.
If the Father's eye is on the sparrow (Matt.10:29), then surely He is watching over His precious children.
