The real fear of Paul
Just for your thought:
The real fear of Paul
As a Christian, there are things more dangerous than pain and death. Sin is one such example. In 2 Timothy 4:18, Paul expressed his certainty that the Lord would release him from "every work" and transport him to the celestial realm. Paul's greatest fear was not death, but rather the possibility of denial.

It is important not to degrade God's name or disrespect His Lordship. Paul believed that the time had come for his permanent departure (2 Tim. 4:6). He wished to end his life peacefully and without defiance.
