Jesus Christ and the poor
For your thoughts:
Jesus Christ and the poor.
If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a male child, she is unclean for seven days.
On the eighth day, the flesh of the child's foreskin should be circumcised.
After the days of her purification are fulfilled, she shall bring a lamb of the first year
for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove as a sin offering.
If she is unable to bring a lamb, she must offer at least two turtle doves or two young pigeons, one as a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering.
Leviticus 12:4-8
The Lord has given this exception considering the plight of the poor.
When the Son of God, the Creator of the whole world, was born in Mary's womb, Mary sacrificed the two young pigeons that the Lord allowed. Luke 2:2
The truth that we must know is that Jesus Christ was born in a very poor family..
He lived and died as a poor man. He did not even touch the money of the ministry and gave it to Judas, who betrayed Him.
He never identified himself with the wealthy people.
He did not even include the wealthy as his disciples.
Never did He ever praise the rich.
Rich people were never given high responsibilities in His earthly ministry. Throughout his life, he did not identify himself with the wealthy.
Instead, consider his words.
“it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
Luke 18:25
Riches are always associated with Satan. That is why Satan says that all riches have been given to him. Luke 4:6
This is the best example that Jesus Christ has set for His children.
There is nothing wrong with being born rich.
There is nothing wrong with acquiring wealth.
But simplicity should be seen in our mindset.
Our perception of the poor must change.
The thought that the poor are those who are not blessed by God should be removed.
We need to change our mindset about homeless people, people without two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
What matters is how we treat the poor in our approach, in our actions, in our relationships, in allocating the responsibilities, in helping. No wonder our heaven will be filled with poor people.
